TSMC is dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace and encourages employee awareness and action through its Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). In 2025, in its first-ever response to "Disability Pride Month," the "Accessibility@tsmc" ERG collaborated with accessibility non-profit organizations to launch a series of activities from July to September. These initiatives included "Accessibility Experience Days" held across TSMC's Hsinchu, Taichung, and Tainan sites. The aim was to enhance employees' understanding of persons with disabilities and rare disorders. Two new sub-groups for "Accessibility@tsmc" were also established: "Mental Health" and "Parents of Children with Early Treatment Needs." These sub-groups hosted specialized lectures, encouraging employees to care for their mental well-being and support families with special needs. A total of 1,194 participants joined Disability Pride Month events, and 257 employees signed up as new members of Accessibility@tsmc, demonstrating TSMC's commitment to acting on its Global Inclusive Workplace Statement.

Accessibility@tsmc actively connects with and supports diverse talent with disabilities, and significantly contributes to optimizing our work environment for better accessibility.

Experiential Challenges: Stepping into the Daily Lives of People with Disabilities

This series of activities adopted a five-stage framework: "Enhancing Understanding, Building Empathy, Gaining Support, Encouraging Action, and Strengthening Belonging." Its centerpiece was the Accessibility Experience Day, which received strong support and personal participation from TSMC's senior executives. The event featured five themed booths – "Memory Challenge," "Dietary Differences," "Weight-Bearing Challenge," "Perceiving the World," and "Mobility Difficulties" – simulating the daily challenges faced by people with disabilities. These activities enabled employees to better understand different types of disabilities and their work-related needs through interactive challenges, fostering a workplace culture that respects differences.

In response to high employee interest in mental health and early treatment for children, Accessibility@tsmc expanded the scope of its support to establish two sub-groups for the first time: a "Mental Health" group and a "Parents of Children with Early Treatment Needs" group. Through specialized lectures, these groups provided platforms for exchange and resource sharing, strengthening connections between colleagues and cultivating an even greater sense of belonging in the work environment.

TSMC Accessibility Activities

As a parent of a child with a rare disorder, participating in the Company's activities made me feel less alone and helped me understand that there are more resources available to support us in facing challenges and overcoming obstacles together.

I am grateful to the Company for organizing such meaningful activities. Not only did they help us understand the need to pay attention to and support those around us, but they also made me appreciate my daily life even more.
