TSMC Launches New "Leadership Framework" to Enable a Sustainable Talent Ecosystem
TSMC is committed to becoming an admired employer and is dedicated to realizing its people vision. As TSMC continues to expand its global footprint, the Company officially launched the “TSMC Leadership Framework 4×5×4” in the first quarter of 2026. This framework aims to accelerate talent development and drive organizational innovation, built around four core themes: “Growth Mindset, Drive for Excellence, People-Centric Principle, and Future Pioneering.” These themes are further extended into five key behaviors and are applicable across four organizational levels. Through this systematic design, all employees are empowered to enhance their leadership skills, enabling them to fully utilize their strengths and work together with the Company to create sustainable growth.

The "TSMC Leadership Framework" deeply integrates TSMC's vision and mission, values and business philosophy. Through interviews with a wide range of levels of internal management and employees on their practical leadership experiences, as well as referencing external market research and industry best practices, the framework identifies the key behaviors required for all employees to maintain their individual as well as the Company's competitive advantage across four major themes. To effectively help colleagues put them into action, the framework provides specific and relevant behavioral guidelines tailored to four organizational levels: "Individual Contributor/Expert, Firstline Supervisor/Domain Expert, Middle Manager, and Executive Leader." This aims to enhance individual and overall organizational effectiveness and boost global competitiveness. TSMC firmly believes that true leadership stems from the actions continuously demonstrated by every colleague in their daily work, spanning all levels and roles.
Looking ahead, the Leadership Framework will serve as a foundational element of TSMC's people management approach, underpinning key processes including hiring, placement, learning and development. It will serve as a critical reference for selection, identification, and development, supporting greater consistency and a forward-looking approach across talent decisions and management practices. At the same time, it will foster an environment that enables all employees to unleash their potential and strive for excellence, driving the long-term growth of both the organization and its people, and advancing sustainable development.
