"TSMC Udreamer" Tenth Anniversary, One Hundred Mystery Shoppers Co-Create a Dream-Chasing Experiment
The TSMC Education and Culture Foundation is dedicated to cultivating talent, and its "TSMC Udreamer" project aimed at encouraging students to realize their dreams marked its 10th anniversary in 2025. Centered on the theme of "Off Track," the Udreamer project attracted 134 teams and 382 students from 60 colleges to enroll in its competition in 2025. Eight teams were shortlisted in the final round in December 2025, and were awarded total grants of NT$3 million. Furthermore, the Foundation partnered with the Taipei City government Department for Youth and the National Taiwan University's College of Design and Innovation to organize "Off Track: The Tenth Anniversary of the Udreamer Project Interactive Exhibition." The Exhibition features 11 salons and nine project showcases curated by nine Udreamers. Additionally, a "One Million Dream Fund" was established to empower the selected participants: one hundred mystery shoppers were recruited to engage with the nine Udreamer teams, voting on the fund's allocation to demonstrate their support for youth creativity and recognize their initiative. The three-day exhibition has attracted 2,500 visitors in total, opening doors to unlimited future possibilities for these youths to realize their dreams.
Centered on the theme of "Off Track," the tenth anniversary exhibition encourages young people to think outside the box and navigate off the beaten track to create their own dream-building blueprint. The proposals from the 2025 participants cover diverse areas such as environmental sustainability, regional revitalization, community care, as well as preservation and continuity of culture heritage. These projects are all dedicated to building a harmonious, inclusive and sustainable future. Additionally, the TSMC Education and Culture Foundation organizes visits for teams in the first round of selection to the TSMC Global R&D Center, its wastewater treatment system, and the TSMC Museum of Innovation. This guides the students to further understand the fruits of TSMC's efforts in technology research and sustainability advocacy. To expand employee participation in youth education, the Foundation also continues to recruit passionate colleagues as professional mentors. In total, 121 TSMC colleagues enrolled in the 2025 competition, and 17 were finally selected for training. Throughout the nine-month dream-building journey, these professional mentors stayed with and supported the teams to accomplish their dream-building projects.
The "Off Track: the Dreamer Tenth Anniversary Interactive Exhibition," invited the public to explore the journeys taken by the 9 Udreamer teams to bring their visions to fruition from multiple perspectives. Audiences gained insight into how the Udreamers have navigated uncertainty to find their own unique paths and bravely embrace new opportunities. A "Dream Voting Wall" in the exhibition area allowed the audience to show support for their favorite teams. Furthermore, the exhibition organized 11 salons, covering diverse topics such as sculpture, arts, botany, personal baggage, and dance. The rich content of these salons deepened the interactive experience, igniting new creative sparks.
I thought my motivation to pursue my dreams had vanished. But seeing the brilliant sparks in the students' eyes when the teams shared their experience rekindled my passion. I feel hopeful now and I have the faith to chase my dreams again.
This exhibition gives us a moment to pause and reflect on the internal journey we've taken. I didn't just see my own reflection, but I also felt the sparks in every Udreamer's eyes and understood the weight of their aspirations. This connection formed with others are truly precious.

Through the "Off Track: Tenth Anniversary of Udreamer Project Interactive Exhibition," the TSMC Education and Culture Foundation conveyed a clear message: "Pursuing one's dream is not an unreachable fantasy, but an act of courage collectively supported by society. We support every step taken off the beaten track of everyday life." The Foundation hopes this message resonates with the public, inspiring more people to dream. At the same time, the exhibition breathes new life into the next decade's TSMC Udreamer Project as we look forward to a bright future together.
