TSMC is committed to strengthening its sustainability culture by supporting employees' innovative ideas that connect with the Company's five ESG directions through the TSMC ESG AWARD, and recognizing organizations with sustainability achievements in making a positive influence. Since 2020, the TSMC ESG AWARD has entered its 6th year with participation and submissions growing each year. In 2025, 100% of domestic and overseas organizations participated, attracting 719 thousands participants, with total proposals increasing 34.9% from the previous year to 5,841 submissions. To better integrate TSMC's overseas organizations, this year's Poster Exhibition continues to offer both in-person and virtual displays, and has specially added on-site guided activities to help ESG leaders  and coordinators visiting Taiwan during the exhibition period to gain a deeper understanding of the 330 shortlisted proposals and sustainability achievements. Additionally, this year marks the first time an Appreciation Dinner was held after the Award Ceremony, inviting ESG coordinators from domestic and overseas organizations who have won the ENTHUSIASTIC PROMOTION AWARD, OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION AWARD, and EMPOWERMENT & ENGAGEMENT AWARD to participate, thanking them for their ceaseless efforts in promoting the Company's sustainability culture development and creating positive changes.

We hope our colleagues will continue to demonstrate our commitment to corporate social responsibility and the spirit of ESG. By continuously deepening and advancing our efforts across the five key directions, we aim to further strengthen our contributions to sustainable development. At the same time, we sincerely hope that all colleagues can find joy in these endeavors and actively engage in ESG activities and innovative initiatives.

ESG Advocates Gather to Witness Continuous Innovation in Sustainability

The TSMC ESG AWARD is the core platform for TSMC to promote a sustainable culture. In its 6th year, it continues to innovate with sustainability awareness activities such as the "ESG Link-up Challenge" and "The ESG LEAGUE" to encourage employee participation. Additionally, creative interactive installations such as "Speak Out for a More Sustainable World!," "Find Your ESG Character," and "The Journey of Amazing Ideas Over the Years" were added at the Poster Exhibition site, encouraging employees to become important drivers of influence. This year also introduced the "ESG AWARD Proposal Booster" for the first time, combining award evaluation criteria with practical cases to guide employees in identifying improvement opportunities from daily work, further enhancing the depth and quality of proposal writing. Furthermore, the Award Ceremony introduced "ESG Capsule Toys," a limited-time event where employees who attending in person have the chance to win sustainable gifts by pulling the capsule machine, adding fun and excitement. At the same time, a "Red Carpet Celebrity Signature Wall" was set up, allowing award-winning employees to sign and commemorate their achievements, jointly witnessing this sustainability event belonging to TSMC employees.

Wei Chen,TSMC Arizona Corporation ESG Coordinator

This was my first time participating in the ESG AWARD, and I felt the importance of ESG to TSMC. I also gained inspiration from the proposals of other award winners. Through this experience, I look forward to continuing to learn the value of ESG in my future work and contributing to the future of the Company and the world.

TSMC encourages employees to create value for sustainability by applying new knowledge, new insights, and new technologies through the ESG AWARD. The total number of proposals submitted over the years has reached 17,259. After the Award Ceremony, the feasibility of all winning proposals is evaluated by relevant organizations, and TSMC's ESG Committee tracks the implementation progress each quarter. Among the 100 winning proposals from the first five years of the AMAZING IDEAS, 80 have passed the feasibility review. Currently, 51 have been completed, and 29 are in progress, continuing to carry out TSMC's sustainability vision through concrete actions.
