A.I. Leads New Trends in Humanism at the 22nd TSMC Hsin-chu Arts Festival
The TSMC Education and Culture Foundation (Foundation) has long dedicated itself to arts and culture promotion. The Foundation holds the TSMC Hsin-chu Arts Festival each year to strengthen the cultural literacy of students and the general public, and to promote cultural heritage. As it enters its 22nd year, the Arts Festival set this year's theme as "A. I. - Arts & I" in response to the growing global trend of Artificial Intelligence. In 2025, nearly 70 performances and exhibitions from a wide range of arts were held between April 18 and June 29, attracting more than 30,000 participants.
The Foundation partnered with the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-Lab) and National Tsing Hua University Arts Centre (NTHU Arts Centre) and moved Taiwan's only mobile outdoor immersive theatre, the "C-Lab FVL Dome" to the campus of National Tsing Hua University for the first time for this Art Festival. The FVL Dome deploys innovative tools such as AI, image generation, generative arts and high performance computing platforms and combines them with creative images and live performance to lead the audience in exploration of the unlimited possibilities of next-generation technological art.
Diverse Arts Festival Energizes the Community's Cultural Vitality
The TSMC Arts Festival features a unique theme each year and specially designs arts and culture programs to cultivate arts in the communities surrounding TSMC campuses in Hsinchu, Taichung, and Tainan. This year's arts festival highlighted technology and art, encompassing arts forms such as music, traditional theater, dance, and literature. Through a diverse program of performances and exhibitions, the Foundation hopes the public can experience the charm of the arts and make cultural nourishment part of their everyday life.
